About your Reviewer

Hello and welcome to my self published, self handled review website.

Many review sites have a wide variety of reviewers out there who can provide a variety of impressions on different games/apps/etc available on iOS.

I’m not that.

I’m a male in my 30′s.  I’m married and have 2 kids.  Twins.  6 year old girls.

Somehow I still have my sanity together to put this site up.

Why should you listen to me?

I’m very open minded.  I love Peggle, Bejewled, World of Goo, 7 Wonders, Battleheart, Puzzle Quest, Reckless Racing, Infinity Blade, Reiner Knizia board/strategy games, Carcassonne…

I could go on and on, but the point I’m trying to get across is that I am not narrow minded in the games I enjoy.

For many reasons.  I have children and I’m married, and each time I open a game, I have to take their impressions into account.

Do my kids like it?  My wife?  Do I enjoy it?  What didn’t they like, why, etc.

Many of my reviews will be generally focused, but from time to time I’ll post things that are specifically tailored to one part of my family.

I’m not going to get a ton out of Super Why, but my kids will and I’ll take a review from their perspective.  Consider it play testing with a smaller audience.

The same goes for my wife, who is a more casual gamer than me.  She’s not going to be interested in Infinity Blade, but she’s going to find herself at home with, say, Bubble Dobble or 7 Wonders.

I know there are a lot of people out there like me, trying to find a site that provides honest, real world advice on what apps to buy.  Because, let’s face it, there are a lot of CRapps out there.

I may throw in a pun or two, sorry…

Back to my point, there are 30,000+ iPad apps alone.  A majority of those games stink.   Tons of the books for kids out there are terrible (I cannot count the number of books written in poor or broken English I’ve gotten suckered into downloading) and many games crash at the worst of times and never get updated.

I’m going to do my best to filter these apps out with honest reviews in plain speak.

I may run on.  I may be a bit verbose and heck, I might even be a bit unfocused.  But my reviews will be honest and unbiased.  I play no favorites and if I don’t like an app, I’m going to make that clear.

But there are a lot of budding app developers out there who deserve notice.  A lot of games that might get passed by on the app store.

That kind of thing only hurts those quality games that may get passed up simply because there is so much dreck out there.

Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there so everyone who visits knows where I’m coming from.

If you’re interested in having me review an app or game, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

If you are a developer and have a game that you are proud of and believe that it has merit, do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to review your product if it makes sense to review here.  Know that I’ll be honest and fair.  Nothing less!

So that’s that, for now.  I look forward to serving all your app needs and providing a, hopefully, unique perspective on Apple’s App Store apps, games, books and so on!
